The Saudi government’s offer of 600 million euros a year for Lionel Messi seems to have satisfied Jorge Messi.

AS revealed that the Saudi government has offered Messi a two-year contract with a total income of up to 1.2 billion euros, equivalent to 600 million euros a year, three times higher than the current income of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr (200 million euros/year). If he agrees to go to Saudi Arabia, Messi will join Al Hilal, a direct rival to Al Nassr in this country’s national championship (SPL).
Mr. Jorge Messi, Leo’s father, has been negotiating with the Saudi government since April. Al Hilal’s contract terms make Messi’s agent quite satisfied. However, Leo himself still harbors intentions of Barca . The Catalan club is still waiting for a move from the La Liga organizers to know if they have the financial conditions to recruit Messi.
In addition to Messi, the Saudi government has also made an offer to Karim Benzema . Independent revealed that Al Hilal’s leadership wanted to bring Benzema to Messi. The Saudi football giant is said to have offered Benzema a two-year contract with a salary of 200 million euros for two seasons, excluding image royalties.
In case Benzema does not want to play for Al Hilal, the Saudi government will allow the French spearhead to choose any other club in the SPL. The ambition of the Saudis is to create a quality tournament with the participation of top stars like Messi, Ronaldo and Benzema.
Real Madrid’s leadership is worried about the possibility of Benzema moving to Saudi Arabia. The French striker’s current contract with Real Madrid will expire in June. In April, Benzema reached a verbal agreement to extend a season with Real Madrid, but after the Saudi side made an attractive offer, the French striker is thinking again.
